Does anyone know how to get a CW-RW Drive to work. Mine is stuck. Also the green light on the Drive tray is ON.

I had a Plextor CD-RW that had the same symptoms. I called Plextor and after a couple of simple tests was told the CD-RW had a hardware failure and that the fix was to replace the unit.

Fortunately, the cost of CD-RW drives is low and they are simple to change.

Dwight:

I took my CPU into the shop. Its still under warranty.

They found a broken Drive Belt in the CD-RW Drive.

I had to have the CD-RW Drive replaced to correct the problem. Obviously they do not replace Drive Belts.
