Once computer keys start sticking, is there any hope? I have lost the "p" on my laptop plus nearly all the punctuation marks. Made the mistake of taking the "P" off and now can't get it back on.
Am I dead in the water?

Keyboard parts are generally considered to not be "serviceable." Not such bad news though, you can usually find a cheap one for about 5 bucks, and several very good models are available for under 20 bucks.
No need to waste alot of time with P on your keyboard!

Catty - I've popped many a key off my laptop keyboard. My nails are constantly getting snagged between the keys and they just "pop off". But I have learned how to "McGiver" them back on with a long bobby pin and a pair of hemostats. The buttons can be put back on...but not with a little sweating, contortionism, and a LOT of swearing!
Follow crescen7 suggestion and find a spare keyboard. Just make sure the plug will fit into the back of your laptop!
