All right, I know better, but you know...anyway, my screen is full of thumbprints, slug tracks and sneeze-spatter. Is there any safe way to clean the thing? It's a laptop.

Thanks for any help.

You might try Disk Cleanup.

Hi Catty
Welcome Back Smile
I use a moist (damp) tissue , and clean it like my classes holding against a light source to check for smears and "starring"
There are so called spray cleaners but they call for the use of a dry cloth!
Could do the same thing with a water spray bottle or an old perfume spray bottle (atomiser),
and 1 or 2 squirts on the screen and wipe as above Wink

I use one of those damp disinfecting wipes on my screen and keyboard.

Thank you, both of you. Do you think a lens cleaner would work ok?

PS: Had a great time in Egypt but if you're going, don't go in October - over 90 degrees nearly every day. Go in February! In October also is Ramadan - banks, shops, all closed until an hour after sunset.
