I'd like a recommendation for a FAST, reliable computer system --perhaps one that you already own--which causes FEW problems and have had good luck with. Name brand, RAM, hard drive space, processor speed, etc.--ANY suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks!

I had to buy a new computer 3 1/2 months ago:
EMachines brand
512 MB RAM
80GB hard drive
2.66GHz
56K modem

I haven't had one iota of problem with it; and since it came with Windows XP, rather than the dreaded Windows ME, I couldn't be happier with it. Good luck!

Thanks for the feedback, buddy..I'll probably go the Gateway/Dell route, but keep those numbers in mind..Any suggestions about an internet provider? MSN has been horrendous over the past year or so...

I've been with Aol for 5 years (just upgraded to Broadband) OK the software is a bit of a lump, but it is user friendly Mail is good despite a small email box (I have several other accounts dotted around including a Gmail box at 1000 MB )
If it goes wrong the helpline is free(? on US phone numbers )
There are several other AOL users on the boards
who will have the same opinions as myself.
