Hello. I'm interested in a reasonably priced, 17" or greater, flat screen, LCD monitor. I'm not a gamer, but do need good resolution and color for computer graphics. I'm looking at a viewsonic right now. Does anyone have recommendations or experiences with flat screen monitors?

Tell you what, the best ones that I have seen for the price are KDS monitors. Very reasonable price, never had a problem and excellent graphics. I own 2 of them right now and have for 2 plus years. They also come highly recommended on a number of best buy lists. I have an 18" dell FPD at work and it is nowhere near as good at nearly twice the price. Good luck. http://www.kdscanada.ca/
Do U mean flat screen or flat pannel? They have a flat screen monitor at Costco for $140 last I checked 17". The screen is flat and the back is bulcky. Flat pannel on the other hand is around 300-400 and the whle thing is about 1/2 an inch thick.

Several people have told me that the refresh rate and clarity on the panels may be distracting when working with graphics and that the CRTs are really the best for the money.
The KDS link looks good, kwll. Thanks for the info.
