Hey. I've been trying to burn mp3's off my harddrive onto a blank CD in my new Sony burner - no problem through the first 8 - 15 songs usually, about 30 - 50 minutes worth of music, then the system locks up, and I have to exit, and restart my pc just to open the CD drawer. Why doesn't the program that came with the drive - B's Recorder Gold - allow me to fill an entire 80 minute/700 MB blank CD? I've even tried different speeds, everything from 16X to 52X, on the "record only" setting, and I still get limited transferring, always concluding with the last song being 99% transferred before it locks up - any clue wassup?

Take a look at the Sony site technical support and see if any of the update downloads help. There are other self help pages there that may help with this.

Sony Technical Support

It will be necessary to include information about the Product model number and program version numbers as well as your system information for us to provide much in the way of suggestions.
