I assume that you mean a laptop computer. Are you referring providing a power supply? If it is a laptop, does it have a battery?

Is there some way those of us who treat driving as a responsibility can be sure we're not going to be struck by some idiot playing PacMan or responding to an instant message? You want to run a computer--park the car!

jkp, I understand your concern, but easyopa hasn't said it was for the use of the driver. It could be for the use of the passengers.

Nor has this poster indicated it is meant to be used while driving. Here in Alaska, every police car has a laptop computer installed and running. They don't use it while driving, but it is an important tool in their line of work. In my line of work, a computer in the car is valuable, too. But not while driving. I will not use a cell phone while driving, either.

jkp, welcome to AnswerPool. I have seen several of your answers and wanted to thank you for your responses. This is a forum where we try our best to provide quality answers to every question. It is very helpful to have input from many different sources.
