For quite some time there has been a yellow "!" in device manager next to nVidia WDM Video Capture (universal). It did not seem to stop anything from working on my computer (not that I know of anyways)so I didn't pay it much attention. This weekend the windows update wanted to update something about the C-Media AC97 Audio Driver. I downloaded it (I pretty much do what it tells me to do)and then I had a yellow "!" next to that in device manager and I had no sound. I tried for hours to fiqure it out on my own, finally I did a system restore to get my sound back. What should I have done, and what does the yellow "!" mean?

Thanking you in advance.

Most likely your video card drivers need updating. Go to Nvidia's website, and look for the model of video card it shows in your Device Manager's list. The when you've downloaded it, depending on if its a .zip or .exe file, if its a .zip file you'll have to unzip the file to a location such as a folder on your desktop that you can name "Vid driver" or something simialr, and then in Device Manager, right click on the yellow Exclamation point item, and click "Properties" then click the "Update driver" tab, then when it asks where to look for the driver, point it to the folder you unzipped your file to. If its an .exe file, you should be able to just double-click it, to install it.
