If you are having Difficulty opening Key Windows Programs from the Desktop/taskbar/Start(Programs list) or want a place where they are grouped together. Here is an easy, but semi hidden access point on Windows XP
Vista may have this method too, but have no details

Method:
Click Start>In the Run box, type: msconfig >Click on the Tools tab(Furthest to right)
And All the Items in Here with 1 or 2 exceptions are familiar Items with Plain English descriptions and to open, click on the Item and then click the Launch button.

Great tip! I had seen tool this several times but had not stopped to think about a practical use for the launch tool. It is much faster than going through the control panel to get into these common Windows tools. And I think this would work with Vista, too.
