I have Microsoft Works version 7.0 and Windows XP . In the last month or so , I will be typing a letter on Works and after about a page or so , it will shut down and I will lose everything I have typed . What would cause this ? I seem to have no other problems with XP . Should I reinstall Works ? Thanks !

First, I suggest that you save your new file immediately after starting it. Then during any pause while typing, press the Ctrl + S key to save what you have done. This way, should there be a program interruption you will not lose everything.

I make this procedure a habit with any program that I run and it has saved me countless hours by not having to redo everything.

Is works the only problem program? Are you seeing any other program with a similar error?

Have you checked for program updates from Microsoft? Open Works, Help menu and click on the Microsoft on the Web / Microsoft Works Home Page.

I hope something here will help!
