As I've posted before my Nero is only showing Image Recorder under Chose CD Recorder under CD Recorder Menu! It is version 5.0.4.6 bundled! I thougfht it was XP compadible! I reformated XP, everything was fine and I had 2 choices in Choose CD Recorder! One for image files and one for the burner to actually burn stuff! I don't remember doing anything drastic since the reformat when everything was OK! But the burner chooice dissappeared! It's there in Device Manager! And a reformat of XP wouldn't of helped if it was hardware faliure right? So is it XP or an outdated version of Nero? Or a combo of the two? Or a flacky drive with new Firmware needed?

I am also using Nero, but version 5.5.9.9 on my XP Pro system and it works like a charm..

Possible your version is not quite compatible??

Program updates are available from Ahead Software's Nero downloads. You may be able to install the version 5.5.9.17 update.

Thanks Byter and TomGL2 but the update requires a serial#! The bundeled version was built-in so I'll just have to get a new one!
