Let me just start by saying I know little about computers. Recently my computer quit transferring my pictures from my digital camera to my computer for no reason. Kodak seems to think it has something to do with the info that is located in my device manager. They are communicating w/me through email but its like pulling teeth getting responses from them. From what I can understand I shouldn't have '!' or '?' next to things that are listed in the device manager portion of my computer. I have '!' next to the following items and I'm just wondering if theres a way to repair these items or how it affects my computer??
These are all listed under the portion in the 'Device Manager' labeled Sound, Video and Game Controllers
ATITuneP, WDM TV Tuner ATIXBar, ATI WDM Video Audio Crossbar Bt829Pro, WDM Video Capture for AIW Pro

All the listed items refer to your ATI Video Capture card. You may have to reinstall the video drivers to correct this problem (providing that you are still using this particular video card) I you are no longer using this video card, you can just delete or remove these items from your Device Manager's folder. You may have to remove the USB drivers for the camera & then reinstall them to get your computer to recognise the camera once again. I have a friend with a similar problem with his laptop and camera. We ended up uninstalling the USB drover for the camera & then, reinstalling it to make it work.
Thanks cswchan... quick question though -- are the video drivers at all related to the camera? Will I still be able to view my pictures on my computer if I were to delete these drives and try reinstalling the USB drivers? I know I know... I'm clueless! LOL. Thanks for your help
NO. The drivers are NOT related to your camera's drivers. The most likely reason for the "!" on those items is that you have replaced the ATI video card with another make/model. If this is the case, then, it is safe to remove these items. If a new video card was NOT installed in your computer, then I would suggest that you reinstall the drivers for the ATI card. This can be accomplished by inserting the CD-Rom that came with your Video Card and reinstalling the drivers.
