I am using an Okidata Microline 590 printer right now and it works fine, but it's not a color printer. I am going to buy a new printer, sometime after I find a job, and I am looking to buy a printer/scanner/copier type unit. I would like to keep the price at about $200, so my question is, what do you recommend? I have seen questions about certain brands of printers and related problems but wasn't able to find those posts. Where better to get a vast array of opinions and information than my AP buddies?

I've installed 4 Lexmarks in the past few months and everyone seems to like them.

I've got 2: X83 printer, copier, scanner $149, and a Z45 color printer $60 after mail-in rebates.

I installed an X63, which has a fax, for my uncle; he paid about $189

I installed an X83 for my mom also.

I really like them for the price, although I did have a few initial installation problems with the X83s...they're working fine now.

I got my Lexmark X83 back in August at the Gatway store for $169. It has a copier/scanner/printer, which all work fine.
Since I am new to all this, I can only say, for me, it has been so easy to use.
