I have Vista installed. When I first turn it on, it flickers. I have had to put it into sleep mode for a minute and then bring it out. When I do that it comes back and it doesn’t flicker. Lately I have been having trouble getting it out of sleep mode. Now when I turn on the computer the power light comes on and the hard disk works but I get nothing on my screen. The keyboard does not light up and my mouse does not light up.
I’ve turned it off and waited and then turned it on several times and it still doesn’t work. I have unplugged it from the back and waited and then plugged it back in and I'm still not getting any signal to the monitor.
I’m in a quandary.
I have a Gateway gt5028 AMD 64 1 gig memory a Acer monitor. Nvidia Gt6100 graphics card.

Is your computer still under warranty? If so, I would suggest you contact Gateway Support and allow them to connect with your system remotely and see if they can run a repair.
This will allow you to "chat" with support via your keyboard. Describe your system make/model and then when they answer, you can ask for their assistance.
If this is a Vista installation that you installed yourself, you can contact Microsoft Support for assistance.
