Can anyone tell me what is wrong with my cd-rom? I can put one of my kids cd's in and it will partially load up and then I get a pop up that tells me to put the cd in the drive. I have cleaned the cd-rom but it still does it. Out of about 20 cds maybe 3 will load up and play? Any ideas?

I had a similar problem awhile back, and came to find out the cdrom was having trouble recognizing the disks. I ended up buying another one at Walmart for less than 60 bucks, it was a Creative 52x, and has worked fine ever since. I'm sure there are other techniques you can try, including going to the cdrom's manufacturer to check for new drivers, and maybe Dwight or someone else can advise you on them. I hope this helps at least a little!
