I am setting up my notebook to project streaming video onto my TV. I get the picture and sound OK, but text is blurry. I normally run 1024 resolution, and tried 800 but both have blurry text on the TV. The computer monitor is clear. I am using a Toshiba Satellite A105-S4074 projecting onto a 15" TV. Any ideas on how to clear the text. Thanks.

I know the piece of equipment you need to get a better screen picture. But I do not know the correct name or Keyword I'm thinking of an USB TV Tuner or Graphics adaptor which plugs in and you put your TV aerial cable into that and Voila a clear picture on your TV

As I say It needs work to pin down the right device ..I am just setting the ball rolling in the right direction (for the rest of the members)
And I Think it will be inexpensive Wink

www.google.com/search?q=tv+out+graphics+card&btnG=Search

I was right about the Graphics card (Not an adaptor) Now you or somebody will have to make a choice out of this search... that's as close as I can get to a definitive answer Apologies for that Frown

Bedstor, thanks. I have a notebook and it has the S plug in for the TV and I can get the picture and sound, but the text is really blurry. I was hoping that be changing resolution it would solve the problem, but that doesn't seem to be the answer. Frown I am projecting to a 15" TV, only one I have that has the plugins and that you can set it for input. I will keep checking around to see if anyone else has any ideas.

What brand is the TV you are linking to ?

And an Idea have you got a video or DVD player and tried linking through that? Does that improve matters? You attach your leads to the video box Not to the TV (Has its own tuner)

Hi Bedstor,
No video or DVD player. I haven't had the chance yet but I think the difficulty may have been that I hadn't changed the TV image from a wide number 1 to a square number 2 as it comes up when you are changing to the TV. Frown I hope I get time today to do that and I will let you know what I find out.
Thanks

I did a bit of exploring and If you have an Nvidia graphics card on your computer it has a page on Its setup controls totally dedicated to setting up the Picture on a TV (Testcard on Page ) complete with slide controls

May be available as a download?
And it is ok for a built in graphics card as well. which is common on Laptops Smile
