The scanner on my Lexmark All-in-One has stopped working, and I can't find my manual. Any chance I can fix this myself, or do I need a service call?

A couple things you can try...
1 - unplug the printer/scanner & then restarting it.
2 - reinstall the drivers for the scanner.
3 - uninstalling the scanner in the control panel & rebooting the computer & let XP reinstall the drivers for you.

Thank you, csw. I found the manual; it says there's a "scan lock/unlock" switch. I found that all right, but it doesn't move. I will try what you suggest, and let you know.

Thank you, CSW. I did that, and the printer came on. However, I can't try the scan as the computer is dead.
