I tried out The Inssider Wi-Fi Network detector Program But it would not work
with XP SP3 kept Calling exception errors

I then went to the Old Netstumble Program that installed but called out it Had no support For Netgear Modems or the Gigabit Network circuits (which is almost universal fitting in recent years)

I'd like to Install this But looking around all there is on offer is Shareware ,Premium and Vista Detectors "Freeware" is turning up mostly Vista Compatible Programs

Does anybody know where I can get a Netgear, Gigabit, XP 2 OR 3 Compatible Wi-Fi Network detector program (Or is it a tall order?)

Since I Posted the Topic I have found 2 promising Freeware "Network sniffer" programs via the NoNags website
Have installed both and am trying to pick up my brothers computer Signal which does have a Wi-Fi Card fitted (about 10 yards away)
From www.arechisoft.com/ Their offering is called Ethersnoop - Network Sniffer
And LanSpy from www.Lantricks.com (ex Russia) Which can scan the Whole IP address Wi-Fi band (Channel by channel)ie 192.168.0.xxx. Does also scan the other computer for Lots of Information ,can pick up Items like "Running Processes" in Task Manager and Registry Processes . Cannot See Personal Items (odd Folder names Maybe?) Nor does it Show Passwords Did show many(all?) of the Windows Update "KB" Security update numbers on this computer
I think it'll make a good semi-remote trouble shooting program, if you look at it from another angle

I will give that Inssider program another go later. There are others that have downloaded it, and are pleased with it
