The gridlines on the spreadsheet will not print,
I went in and checked print gridlines on both
the font and the page layout. They will print
if something is typed in them, but only one line
at a time.

What program are you using? Excel, Works spreadsheet? Other?

Have you looked in the Help section about printing? Works provides a method of printing the form as it appears on the screen.

Iam using Works. I went into the help and
checked the gridlines on everything it said to
check gridlines, but each time I get print
review the paper is blank. Don't understand,
looked at all the help, index, contents, checked
gridlines everywhere. Kate

Hi Kate:
With WORKS the Gridlines are only to aid you in seeing where the cells are as you are setting up your SpreadSheet (SS). They don't print.

What you need to set up is BORDERS.
In Help/Index look under Borders/SS Cells.
Not a real lot of help though.

A couple of things I did to get the hang of borders was use some of the SS Wizerds that come with Works.
Find one that's close to what you want then see how they did it.

Also you can modify any that are close to exactly what you want.

Best of luck to you & post back if we can help further.

Hi Kate,

In SS only the lines that contain text (and those inbetween)will be printed.

If your purpose is to print a sheet with blank lines you may need to use Word, click the table tab, and you can set it to print any amount of lines or boxes that you may want.

Ofcourse, this may not be what you are looking for at all..... but have a nice day anyway Smile

Try this

With your spreadsheet open. Highlight the areayou want lines on then on top tool bar
go to FORMAT then BORDERS.

Under border location (pane with about 9 smaller buttons around the pane)

click the two buttons marked OUTLINE and INSIDE.

The whole highlighted area now has GRIDLINES.
leave highlighted and go to PRINT
This should now print with Lines printed out Including empty fields.
