Try a used computer store. They often have monitors that have been traded in and you can get one for a good price. I bought a 17" Samsung 730B for $300 two years ago and it works just like new. Now, the same monitor will run about $180 or so.

Belinea brand Monitors are very good value reliability/Quality (now called Viewsonic)
Just found this Viewsonic 19" for (listed on Ebay) for about $110 Original List Price: $399.99 has 5 listed as New but the bids about $140 as I post this Link to Auction
