Hi Dave Welcome to the Pool You did not say OS you are using, but it is possible that there is 2 possible causes to this 1) Is the sender is set to the wrong channel? (there may be a recessed switch) on some models on the sender or mouse And the other possiblity is the mouse driver needs a reload or an adjustment is needed Go to Start >Control Panel> Mouse and click on the Hardware tab and the status of your mouse driver is shown here the Trouble shooter buttons are beneath this (Should say PS/2 compatible mouse on the list) click on Properties for more info on the driver.

There was another (perhaps easier)way of doing this If the mouse was plugged in and " Not working" Do not despair ,XP has a Wizard called "Add Hardware" in the Control Panel to Help detect it and activate it (also might work with Plug & Play/USB Non runners ?) This wizard only works with ALL Non running items at a time, not a 1-off specific item
