You don't mention if your HP750 printer is the HP PSC 750 All-in-One or the HP PSC 750xi All-in-One. The following is for the HP PSC 750 All-in-One. Please be sure to clear out the print queue first:
Here is how. Then follow these steps (if you haven't already).
Have you tried these? And yes, a bad cable could cause this type of problem. It could be the cable itself or the connection on either the printer or the computer. If you have another cable, you might try it. If you have another (USB) port on the computer, you might try that one.
Also, try turning off the printer and disconnecting the electrical connection for at least 90 seconds, then re-plugging it in and starting it up again. Sometimes the capacitor needs to be "drained" for a clean startup.
If after all of these software fix attempts and your printer still doesn't work please post again. Is this a new printer? Has it been working but now has quit? Is it still under warranty with HP?
HP 750 All-In-One Warranty Duration
Hardware: One year from date of purchase
Software: 90 days from DOP
Print Cartridges: Date stamped on cartridge or until ink is depleted.
If your print cable is a USB type, do you have a parallel cable that you can try?
I hope something here will help!
