Hi Colin, I went to their site, and I can't see anything much about a European tour. They are playing in London, and there's a free concert in Barcelona. Now wouldn't that be neat! I'm going to look into getting a ticket for one of their TO dates in October, though I have to go alone, as nobody I know would want to go Here's the site: Coldplay

I meant to add this to the last post for you, Colin, and for anyone else that's interested. There is an amazing radio show here on Saturday nights, 7-9pm Eastern time. For two hours, Randy Bachman plays music on a particular topic. He adds stories about the musicians, often including personal anecdotes. It's just very interesting and informative. He covers all sorts of musical genres, not just rock. Anyway, for those that are interested, here's his site: Randy's Vinyl Tap and where to listen: CBC Radio

He of "Bachaman Turner Overdrive" fame?! Amazing, quite amazing! This quote is from the synopsis of his 10 May show:
"Gerry and the Pacemakers asked the question "How do you do what you do to me...?" and it is a question that North Americans could have asked any of the British musical acts that swept across the Atlantic in the sixties and seventies. How did they have such an appeal? The sound of British pop made us all stand up and take notice of what was going on and what was going on included some amazing guitar players, strange new technology, outlandish costumes, wild hair and bad teeth. Judging by your response to the last show Randy did featuring the Brits you still can't get enough. This week on Vinyl Tap Randy Bachman takes another look at some of the more influential British bands including Cliff Richard and The Shadows, The Kinks, The Trogs, The Animals and many more. UK Pop revisited this week on the Tap."
Seems well worth a listen each week: I shall ask my mate in Gloucester, Ontario whether he tunes in.
PS Just tried to tune in, but all I'm getting from the station's links is a Deutsche Welle international feed. As it's 02.20 over there, I assume they carry this as part of their night-time programming. Sadly, they don't seem to offer a facility for listenbing to shows from previous weeks. C'est bien dommage ...

Oh Colin, now I feel bad telling you about a show you can't listen to. That doesn't make sense. If I can listen to it on the computer, shouldn't you be able to, wherever you are? There is no way to listen to past shows. You have to tune in "live" on a Saturday evening. I think there is a repeat airing...maybe on a Friday night. I am going to do some research, and see what I can find, because it really is an excellent show. ( Yes, they carry Deutsche Welle ovenight here )
