The Group, "Canned Heat". How long were they in existence??? And who was the lead singer with the unusual voice, I have never heard anyone come close to duplicating???

Formed in 1966, they're technically still "together", touring and recording, although vocalist Bob "The Bear" Hite passed away in 1981.
