Dear friends, I have discovered/fallen in love with GUNS N' ROSES! Especially "Sweet Child of Mine." Love that wailin' sound and that guy's voice. All I know about this group is what my son (a rock musician) told me, that they lost their guitar player, Slash, and since then haven't sounded so good.

Can anyone furnish any hot titles featuring Slash?

Slash has his own band, Slash's Snake Pit. They have 2 albums out, It's 5 O'Clock Somewhere and Ain't Life Grand.
I can recommend It's 5 O'Clock Somewhere, but I haven't heard Ain't Life Grand.
I also recommend Izzy Stradlin's (G'N'R other guitarist, also no longer with them) album Izzy Stradlin and The Ju Ju Hounds. Both brilliant albums.

Thank you, Andy. What I actually wanted (but didn't make clear) was the name of some early GNR songs that featured Slash.

In that case Catty, check out either G'N'R Lies or the superb Appetite For Destruction. Enjoy.

Catty, I had the good fortune of
seeing Guns N' Roses twice in their
full raging glory. Slash is a
dynamo live. I would recommend you
buy Guns N' Roses Live Era : '87 - '93,
a 2-disc package of their best from
their heyday. Also, the long form
video for November Rain is an incredible
showcase of Slash at his finest.

I happen to love Slash's backing solo on Paradise City, found on "Appetite for Destruction."

Thank you dog and 'fuse, I'm sure I'll love both of them. I really love the singer's (Axl Rose?) voice.

G & R is the greatest!!! AND Axl Rose is the HOTTEST too, you have GOT to see that man wink

I have to agree with the others, Appetite For Destruction is the best. I have it and a few of their others, but that one is the best.
Have fun!! And remember, if it's too loud, your too old! eek wink big grin

I sure aint too old, Pup. Grew up with sobbincountry (Hank Williams "Yer Cheatin' Horrrrt"). I was a junior in h.s. when Elvis recorded his first hit, I believe it was Heartbreak Hotel or maybe Blue Suede Shoes. I grew up with rock and have stayed loyal all these years. I have heard many, many guitarists over the years, and many are spectacular but Slash wins the Big One IMO.

Thanks for all the good info - I'll check out those albums.
