What are some bands that have a similar style of music to The Barenaked Ladies?

Ooo, tough. There are a lot of bands who I'd say have that same alternative rock feel, but the humor is definitely more distinct.

The bands that I'd say are most similar and most appealing to a Barenaked Ladies fan might be Presidents of the United States of America and perhaps XTC

For bands with similar poppy alternative rock feel, I suggest Pixies, Oingo Boingo, Bicycle (a fun little band not that many people know), R.E.M., Cake, and Fountains of Wayne.

For bands with more similar humor, I'd suggest They Might Be Giants, Ben Folds Five (or his solo stuff), and maybe Weird Al for some of their more silly stuff.

Should I try to think of some more artists? Would you like me to find some songs by all these artists so you can hear them?
