I've recently been given a disc of MP3's and one of the tracks is listed as With Outpatience by Guns 'n' Roses. I don't think it's on any of their albums, none that I've got anyway. I've looked on varius websites for the band but can find no reference to this song. Has anyone heard of it or know anything about it?
Thanks MsSueM but that's not the one. After listening to it more closely, I'm not 100% sure it is G'N'R, although some of the vocals do sound like Axl. The intro is about 1 minute of acoustic guitar & bass and the lyrics are, as far as I can make out: In my head outside my bedroom window, In solitude the dark recedes. I hear a scream outside my neighbourhood, Could be mistaken for a dream.
Trees gather shadows darken ground, That's just a cover for these broken crowds (clouds?) It's only Friday in the neighbourhood, That gets you ready for the bitter truth.
I got the ------? I get anxious to see, I'm not at home I'm at -------? street.
Some of these are probably wrong. Anyone recognise any of the above interpretation?
That's a band called The Outpatience... and the tune you're looking for is the title track of their "Anxious Disease" album. It features Slash on guitar and Axl on backing vocals, and other members of GN'R appear on the album as well (but apparently not on that tune). http://www.arocknid.com/outpatience/anxious.html#6
Thanks Curtis. That's been driving me crazy. I thought I could hear Slash & Axl in there somewhere. Although after seeing the lyrics, I think I may have stood a little too close to a few too many stages over the years.
