only one way to fish? What I mean by that is that I saw an old movie once called
A River Runs through it-and the fisherman in the story cast his fishing rod back and forth in a wide arc-is this fly fishing as they call it or some other name????
That would be fly fishing as you describe it, Cyberlaol. And fly fishing is one of many ways to fish. I don't know the technical name for all of them, unless you want to put them under the title "fishing" . Among my favorite memories as a kid was to go fishing with my grandma to a creek about 10 miles from my home. There we just baited our fishhooks with worms, sat on the bank, lines in water, and idled the day away. No going through all the effort of fly fishing here!

(OK, OK, this, and a CNN report similar to this, takes place on the Illinois river. Havana, Illinois is due north of me, and easily drivable for a day's fishing.)
