I am trying to register my Alweld flat bottom boat. In order to do that I need the hull ID number. I can't find it on the boat anywhere. Where should I look for it?

I could not find an exact answer in searching, but it appears that most boats have their Hull ID Numbers on the transom (Which, as far as I can tell having never been on a boat, is the flat part at the back of the boat LOL). I hope this helps... or that someone who knows comes up with an answer that does !
