I am interested in having a recipe for crab cakes that uses minimal fillers.. preferably ritz crackers or similar crackers instead of bread as the "mortar".

I hate soggy bread AND with my recent surgery, I can't eat much bread anyway.

Can someone help me come up with a version that would meet my culnary and nutritional needs?*

Sher,

This recipe uses cracker crumbs.

Here's one from Kraft Foods that actually calls for Ritz Crackers.

One thing that I've noticed is important in Crab Cakes, from problems that we've had at the restaurant, is that sometimes the crab we get has a rather salty taste already, so it would be good to taste the crab and then adjust the salt in the recipe where possible (like using unsalted crackers, etc.)
