How long can meat or poultry be frozen without going bad?

Does it make a difference if it is already cooked when I freeze it?
(I pre-brown meat and freeze in baggies and freeze leftovers)

I HAD a book called, 'Will it freeze?' but I can't find it. I found this web page that has a few sites on home freezing. I hope it helps answer your Q. smile

There are a lot of nice charts and tables here at the Betty Crocker website. Hope this helps.

Freezer bad! Fresh is best! My personal opinion obviously. I never put anything that started out fresh in the freezer unless I cryovac it. Meat should never be frozen. It will never be the same again. I live in a dream world, I know, but I really just hate frozen food.
