I just heard on the radio that there is a Moxie festival up in Maine and it reminded me of the drink. I never really liked it much, but my great grandmother used to drink it with milk.

Does anyone remember the beverage?

Also - - is the drink any correlation to the term "he's got moxie"?

The word Moxie is the only proper name that has made it to the dictionary as a noun synonymous with having "spunk" or "guts"( if you ever tasted it, you would instantly know why!). It's still common to hear of someone as having "a lot of Moxie."
here is the site that is from,on the http://www.xensei.com/users/iraseski/WhatIs.html MOXIE drink. It also has some other interesting facts.
