I made some pickled beans about 3 years ago and still have several jars of them left. (I had sooooo many in my garden, that I HAD to do it!)

What is the shelf life for a product like this?? Wink

Providing that the seal is still intact, the contents are considered safe. HOWEVER, for best quality, use home canned foods within one year.
Better to be safe than sorry....throw then out, I would not eat them.

Next time, pass the jars along to family and friends as gifts, or share some of the garden bounty with your area soup kitchen or food pantry.

Thanx for your reply!

I was going to eat them, but thought I'd wait for an answer first. You told me enough to make me throw them out!! I had them stuck in a closet wayyyy in the back and completely forgot about them.

What a waste of beans AND time!!!

Thanx again.

roll eyes
