I don´t know if I told you all yet, but I´m getting married by church in February! Isn´t that great. I was thinking about what we´re going to make for the party, but we don´t know which way to go.

But my question is, I have an Aunt that is coming down to the wedding from Las Vegas, and this Aunt doesn´t eat anything; she´s very delicate. She doesn´t like meat, or bread or lettuce or tomatoes or onions. What in the world can I make for her? I´m probably going to have to make something especially for her!

HELP!

This just popped into my head. How about banana pudding? Or some kind of pudding with lots in it. Does she eat light, too, or does she need more? Maybe make a bowl just for her. Big Grin

I did not know you were marrying! What lovely news! May you and your intended share long years, great joys and small troubles.
As for the finicky aunt...A clear soup (even a vegetarian bullion) served with an egg based dish is an option, like fritatta, omelet,or quiche, or simply make or buy a fairly diverse cheese and fruit plate.
When you say she doesn't like meat, do you mean any meat or will she eat chicken or seafood? If either is an option, then perhaps a nice chicken salad, grilled chicken breast or baked fish?
Is there another family member that can steer you to other possibilities?

Delicate? is that another word for picky? Big Grin

How about Pesto and pasta? Pasta can be served up with just butter and salt, or you can make a cheese sauce or mushroom sauce (can of mushroom soup) - you don't need meat and tomato sauce for good pasta.

Eggs? will she eat them? If so soft boiled, hard boiled, fried and the like. Its not just a breakfast food. Lately we have been doing eggs in the basket where you take a slice of toast, cut out the center, and fry the egg inside of the hole.

The Potato is the mainstay of our diet around here, you can bake them, twice bake them, mash them, fry them, mix them with green beans (beans and taters). I make a mean creamy potato soup too. Razz

Fruit salad, salad with every vegetable but tomato and onion. Um, fried zucchini, fried okra, steamed, baked, sauces to add would be cheese, or pesto (light oil with herbs).

Yogurt? Maybe a tad over some cut up fruit? cottage cheese, heck sliced cheese and crackers and fruit...

I think what you should do is ask Auntie what it is she eats and try to follow that.

I think pasta and a cheese sauce is a good idea. I think I´m going to serve her macaroni and cheese at the wedding.

MrsS THANK YOU!
