Anyone try the new green bags or green storage containers for fruits and veggies...their claim is a much longer shelf life? If they work they would be worth it.

I was skeptical, but Publishers Clearing House offered a good price and I hadn’t ordered anything in a while, so I figured I’d try them out. And they work!! At least they work on bananas. We had bananas for weeks, when we used to be lucky if they’d last four days before I had to mash them into muffins. I have peaches in one now. They seem to do the trick, though, so far. Plus, you can rinse them out and use them again so you’re not buying more plastic all the time -and when they’re used up, a lot of grocery stores will take all kinds of plastic bags to recycle.
