They say if you were blindfolded and didn't smell the chocolate that if given a bowl of vanilla or chocolate ice cream you would not be able to tell the difference, I don't believe it, is it true?

If you could not smell......you couldn't tell the difference between any foods.

That is why, when you have cold...all the food tastes BLAH.

Of course you'd be able to tell the difference. Taste buds work independantly from your nose.

Smells only augment the experience, they do not define it.
