Looking at this Web MD article, I still wonder which coffee is better for a person to drink? confused

Perhaps we'd all be better off just drinking water.

Well, caffiene is not very good for you in large quantities, so I imagine Decaf is better, but there are many oils and not-good-for-you elements of coffee. Here is a link that lists most of the components of Coffee.

I think water is better. This is not scientific or anything, but my sister-in-law drank at least 3 pots of coffee every day, sometimes 4. She died of stomach cancer at the age of 51. My sister Jo claimed it was the poison dripping off her tongue that did it, but I think it was the coffee.

Everything in moderation, sayeth Catty. smile

In my 20s and 30s, I was an expresso coffee drinker. using the tiny demi-tasse cups made for expresso. There IS a reason why thse cups are so tiny. wink

Once I hit my late 30s and turned 40, expresso began to bother my stomach and my nerves. If you came up behind me and called my name, depending on your decible level, you would either have to dig my fingernails out of the ceiling tiles,or use a spatula to scrap me off the ceiling! eek So now it is one cup of decaffeinated French-vanilla in the morning, and one cup of herbal tea during the course of the day, with water as my main beverage. I keep a 24 oz, (710 mL) bottle of water on my desk in the morning, which is emptied by noon.

For variety, you can add a slice of lemon or lime to your water. Water equivalents:
3 oz cup of jello = 1/2 cup of water
1 cup of strawberry halves = 3/4 cup water
1 cup of carrots = 2/3 cup water
These figures are from ediets.com

Catty, I agree with you--everything in moderation. That sounds like a good plan.
