I know it comes from beet or cane but how do they go from plant to the little granules we use in our coffee and baking?

Around here (East Anglia) the real problem about sugar beet as against cane is that you won't get stuck behind a slow moving sugar cane tractor on some rural road.Beet, on the other hand... Big Grin
