Kitty - I love pomegranates (or Indian Apples as they're often called). CLICK ON THIS site for lots of recipes for pomegranates as well as history of the fruit.

I've not ever cooked with them, but I like to toss them on a salad and eat them just plain. I find the easiest way to eat them is to first cut it in half (starting with the "stem" part) and then just peeling back the thin folds of "flesh" and you can get lots of the little seeds off all at the same time!!

Haven't had one yet this year - thanks for reminding me to pick up a couple!! Big Grin

and a red tongue, and red teeth, and a stained red shirt.....Big Grin hehehe...

I love pomegrantes as well. Look forward to that season every year. I usually eat them by themselves as well, but on occasion I'll make a honey/pomegrante seed dressing for my fruit salads. Yummm!!!

I LOVE them! I never knew of the "Indian apple" name.

Adding them to salad - WOW what a great idea!
