When I use the convection oven do I need to convert the standard temp in any given recipe so it will bake better in my convection oven? I noticed my stuff seems to get done too fast. Thanks! Smile

No, the temp can be the same, but it is the time that you need to lessen. Please remember that circulating hot air will definitely cook things faster, and that not everything works well in a convection oven. Some items require longer, slower baking/roasting.

While the esteemed head lifeguard is correct in that the time needs to be lessened, the temperature should also be reduced. Typically 25 degrees less temperature and 10% less cooking time.

If you are working from a cookbook or recipe make the appropriate notes on the adjusted cooking time and temp.
