I am looking for Easy (one color) knitting patterns that are portable enough to bring to doctor's offices, dentist's offices or any times when you have to sit and wait for awhile. These need to be patterns that are easy enough so that there is not a lot of counting and measuring and are easy to memorize.

I always thought the easiest knitting pattern was a scarf.... you don't even need a pattern.

I came to this forum to start a topic on knitting but I guess I'll just add on to this one.....

SO who likes to knit? Big Grin I DOOO!!!!! There was a free knitting class at A.C. Moore.... a one-time two-hour thing. There were five people in the class.... four of us (including me) switched over to the other kind of knitting.... from the continental way to the English way or something. I took it so I could knit scarves..... for myself and presents.... and I told my grandma that, and now SHE'S making me scarves Roll Eyes Big Grin

SO which way do you knit? Also can anybody give me a site that says how to cast off because I forgot Red Face
