I have been long thinking of making braided rag rugs. I have a ton of cloth I could make into some very lovely rugs/seat covers, etc.

The only question I have is this, when you make strips of cloth, the edges of the strips can fray... how is that a reasonable sort of thing to make into a rug? Something that already has a "weakness" built into it and fray early on........
