Thanks for the information. We are lucky enough to have 2 music therapists within our facility as well as numerous volunteers who come in to perform for the clients. My original intent was to find ideas from anyone who does the planning of activities for Alzheimers patients....what works and what doesn't....crafts, baking etc. Thanks again....any links, ideas etc is always welcome!

My sister is an activities director at a long term care facility.
They just added a special room, which she calls a sensory stimulation room.
I know very little about it myself, but if you would like me to put you in touch with each other, email me. My email is in my profile.

Hi Shelster I will definately email you for that address. The home that I work in is also in the process of setting up a sensory stimulation room (also called a Snoezelen room). Hopefully we can trade off some ideas. For anyone else who is interested, here is a link to information on the Snoezelen program: SnoezelenN
