Can anyone give me some instructions for tie dyeing or information about a good web site for this. I really like the looks of this and I have absolutely no idea how to begin. Thanks smile

This may be to late since you posted a while back but maybe for next time. When my son was in 1st grade we took a t-shirt and put it in a bucket of water and then wring it out. Then lay it flat on the table. Grab the center and turn the shirt around and around clockwise then once it is all in a small flat disk put a rubber across the middle each direction. (vertical and horizontal) then the art teacher had empty bottles of dish soap that we put the die in and the children squirted the t-shirt. It was not as messy as having to dip whole shirt in dye. They turned our really neat. It is best not to use a whole bunch of colors because then your shirt looks brown but the ones that used just two looked good.

Dharma Trading Company is the place to buy any and all of the things needed for tie dye. They have great prices, fiber-reactive dyes (Procion Dyes) and their starter kits have everything you need.

They even have party kits, to have a tie-dye party!
