Yes,but it's stomach turning to watch.
And what is all this 'man/woman of the people' stuff, too? Is Hillary a person you'd want to have a beer with? It's so false and so condescending, patronising, surely more so than saying 'bitter etc', for her to be affecting to be one of the lads. And as for being a hunter...!
Ordinary voters can't be that concerned, in a time of crisis, to be led by someone who tries to fit in with them. They don't want someone who would be a lathe operator or driving a truck if they weren't President. Not for nothing do the Army have a strict rule that no officer is to enter the sergeants' mess. The officer is meant to be their leader, not their mate ( buddy). He needs to understand how they behave and think and why but not be one of them. It's perfectly possible to be one of the elite and still be accepted and respected, because you patently understand.Churchill was of the aristocracy.Prime Minister Harold Macmillan was a true 'toff', of the elite and an elitist too.Macmillan had a very wealthy background, and had a privileged upbringing, but his early career was in a town stricken with poverty and unemployment. He knew all about it and understood it, and it became a great force in his political life. But he wasn't going to go drinking down the working man's club, just to look the part or seek the right image.
Of the elite (and elitist), it's Obama who comes across here as the one of the two Democrats who does understand.
