Hi Gang:
It looks now as tho Hillary and Rudy will be the candidates for 2008.
Since both are well hated in New York, how do you think the vote will go in New York state, both the Popular and Electoral vote???
The Electoral vote in New York State could easily swing the election for one party or the other.
Who's the most hated ???

Your opinions???

"Since both are well hated in New York..."

Hillary Clinton won re-election with 67% of the vote in New York. Giuliani won 59% of the vote in his last election (1997) for the mayor's office in New York City. Apparently, she isn't as "well hated" as you seem to imply, and I don't think he is, either. You may be confusing the intensity of the hate for numbers of haters. The last time I looked, voters get one vote, regardless of how much they love or hate a candidate.

For the most part I think Hillary has the upper hand for the Democratic nomination. Rudy, on the other hand, while he may be the current leader in the Republican side, I don't see him as having a solid lead at this point in time. I think a lot could still happen.

As for New York, while Rudy has his critics, I believe he stands a good chance of carrying the state in a Presidential election. He certainly proved his leadership during the 9-11 crisis.

Simply put, he has more accomplishments to show for his time as an elected official than what Hillary has to show for her time as Senator.

Between Hillary and Rudy, I think NYS would go Hillary. Rudy has a sentimental value, but he's still a Republican. Hillary's blue all the way and that seems to go over well in NY. Of course, that doesn't mean I think she's the right man for the job.
