I agree that the article is very interesting. All 10 myths are an eye opener. Before reading about them, they all seemed like ideal facts. I sometime wonder if all the media attention about the shootings just give students and outsiders more of a notion to commit such shootings. It's horrible about the senseless killings, but tooooo much media attention could make it worse.

Don't suppose the gun lobby would even notice that. And people wonder why there are so many shootings in the USA when guns are so widely owned ? Americans have no idea just how extraordinary the quoted statement sounds to anyone British. (Why would anyone have a gun at home? Why would anyone think to have a gun at all? )
