Ah, I see your point. But, can't the same rationale be applied to extracting the crude oil from the ground, taken to the refinery, then finally processed into gasoline? I thought the whole point of using ethanol was that it's eco-friendly? Not for its convenience. Of course, all of this stuff will be a moot point once they get around to releasing the Hydrogen engine to the public, which they claim will be within the next 10 years or less. Imagine a car which runs on mere air! With the only by-product being water!
