There seems to be some frustration in the Clinton camp over the media. Do you believe the media have, on balance, favored Barack Obama over Hillary Clinton during the Democratic primaries and caucuses?

Fox News hasn't Well, not much. Well, like everyone else on the Right they know the Clintons.They've done their best.There's an air of anxiety if she ever gets a point home (rare, I grant) which seems strange considering that Obama must be harder to beat than she is.
First, he had the enormous advantage of novelty. Second, he's far more likeable than she is.Third, the challenger always gets more and better coverage than the champion,and the newcomer against the established favourite, if only to talk up the fight.
Anyway, you can rest assured that democracy has two features 1) freedom of speech and 2) more freedom to speak if you have a bigger campaign budget. In a spirit of fair play, the media ,innocently thinking that she would be both favourite and possessed of a bigger budget, had evidently decided to redress the balance
