Check this story out. Is this not one of the most sickening things you've ever heard? Just what is the world coming to, anyway? Cops these days must really have some nerve-- that this NY Detective could ever dream of getting away with something like this. What do you think?

I think that there will always be a certain amount of bad cops just like there will always be a certain amount of bad people in any large group. The NYPD consists of over 36,000 officers, the largest law enforcement agency in the US. It is only reasonable to expect that some will be bad cops. There are fewer elected Democrats in Washington, and some of them are criminals. The same holds true for Republicans. Catholic priests, Orthodox priests, Buddhist monks, televangelists, kindergarten teachers, doctors, nurses, dentists, etc. all have some bad guys amongst them. It comes with the territory of being human.

That guy will be prosecuted, and, if found guilty, do time. Other than being outraged at the actions of that individual, what else can be said?
